House prices in Warwickshire rose by just over five per cent in a year, Land
Registry figures show.
In April 2007, the average price of a house in the county stood at £180,802
compared to £171,508 the previous April.
April’s figures also represent a rise of 0.9 per cent on March’s house prices.
The average cost of a detached house in Warwickshire in April was £297,781,
semis costs £158,168 and the average price of a terraced house stood at
£134,598.
The figures put Warwickshire slightly above the national average cost of a house,
which stood at £179,935 in April.
The busiest month for moving house in Warwickshire between April 2006 and this
February was in June last year, when 1,314 properties were sold. The quietest
month was in February with 714 homes sold.
