House prices in Rutland rose by just over nine per cent in a year, Land Registry
figures show.
In April 2007, the average price of a house in the county stood at £238,726
compared to £218,770 the previous April.
April’s figures also represent a rise of 0.9 per cent on March’s house prices.
The average cost of a detached house in Rutland in April was £305,803, semis
costs £175,628 and the average price of a terraced house stood at £149,976.
The figures put Rutland above the national average cost of a house, which stood at
£179,935 in April.
The busiest month for moving house in Rutland between April 2006 and this
February was in June last year, when 84 properties were sold. The quietest month
was in February with 35 homes sold.
