House Prices Rise in Pembrokeshire, West Wales

House prices in Pembrokeshire rose by just over eight per cent in a year, Land

Registry figures show.

In April 2007, the average price of a house in the county stood at £178,044

compared to £164,571 the previous April.

April’s figures also represent a rise of 1.7 per cent on March’s house prices.

The average cost of a detached house in Pembrokeshire in April was £253,076,

semis costs £150,344 and the average price of a terraced house stood at

£130,085.

The figures put Pembrokeshire slightly below the national average cost of a house,

which stood at £179,935 in April.

The busiest month for moving house in Pembrokeshire between April 2006 and this

February was in June last year, when 209 properties were sold. The quietest month

was in February with 118 homes sold.
