House prices in Herefordshire rose by just over nine per cent in a year, Land
Registry figures show.
In April 2007, the average price of a house in the county stood at £195,613
compared to £178,836 the previous April.
April’s figures also represent a rise of 0.8 per cent on March’s house prices.
The average cost of a detached house in Herefordshire in April was £286,036,
semis costs £160,426 and the average price of a terraced house stood at
£137,327.
The figures put Herefordshire above the national average cost of a house, which
stood at £179,935 in April.
The busiest month for moving house in Herefordshire between April 2006 and
this February was in May last year, when 372 properties were sold. The quietest
month was in February with 197 homes sold.
