House prices in Gwynedd rose by just over 11 per cent in a year, Land Registry
figures show.
In April 2007, the average price of a house in the area stood at £147,432
compared to £132,274 the previous April.
However April’s figures represent a fall of 0.8 per cent on March’s house prices.
The average cost of a detached house in Gwynedd in April was £210,922,
semis costs £144,955 and the average price of a terraced house stood at
£104,701.
The figures put Gwynedd well below the national average cost of a house, which
stood at £179,935 in April.
The busiest month for moving house in Gwynedd between April 2006 and this
February was in October last year, when 277 properties were sold. The quietest
month was in February with 108 homes sold.
