House Prices Rise in Cheshire
House prices in Cheshire rose by just over 6 per cent in a year, Land Registry
figures show.
In April 2007, the average price of a house in the county stood at £170,910
compared to £160,998 the previous April.
April’s figures also represent a rise of 0.3 per cent on March’s house prices.
The average cost of a detached house in Cheshire in April was £276,568, semis
costs £144,244 and the average price of a terraced house stood at £110,840.
The figures put Cheshire below the national average cost of a house, which
stood at £179,935 in April.
The busiest month for moving house in Cheshire between April 2006 and this
February was in June last year, when 1,532 properties were sold. The quietest
month was in January with 977 homes sold.
