House Prices Rise in Ceredigion

House prices in Ceredigion rose by just over nine per cent in a year, Land

Registry figures show.

In April 2007, the average price of a house in the county stood at £198,433

compared to £181,610 the previous April.

April’s figures also represent a rise of 6.2 per cent on March’s house prices.

The average cost of a detached house in Ceredigion in April was £235,628,

semis costs £159,457 and the average price of a terraced house stood at

£154,362.

The figures put Ceredigion above the national average cost of a house, which

stood at £179,935 in April.

The busiest month for moving house in Ceredigion between April 2006 and this

February was in July last year, when 110 properties were sold. The quietest

month was in February with 59 homes sold.
