House Prices Rise in Bristol
House prices in Bristol rose by almost 13 per cent in a year, Land Registry
figures show.
In April 2007, the average price of a house in the city stood at £178,594,
compared to £158,241 the previous April.
April’s figures also represent a rise of one per cent on March’s house prices.
The average cost of a detached house in Bristol in April was £331,971, semis
costs £194,987 and the average price of a terraced house stood at £161,112.
The figures put Bristol slightly below the national average cost of a house, which
stood at £179,935 in April.
The busiest month for moving house in Bristol between April 2006 and this
February was in August last year, when 1,052 properties were sold. The quietest
month was in February with 573 homes sold.
