House Prices Fall in Wetherby, West Yorkshire

Property prices in Wetherby, West Yorkshire, fell by 17.8 per cent between January 2006 and January 2007.

According to the latest Land Registry figures, the average price of a property in Wetherby stood at £301,395 last January.

The average price of a detached home was £509,768 in January 2007, compared to £518,499 in the previous January, a difference of 1.7 per cent.

Semi-detached homes cost an average of £217,545 last January, compared to £247,175 the year before while the average price of a terraced home stood at £200,800 in January 2007, compared to £149,666 in January 2006.

The cheapest property purchased in Wetherby between January 2006 and January 2007 sold for £46,616 while the most expensive cost £2m.

In total, during the same period, £165m was spent on property in the area.

The average price of a house in Wetherby in January last year compares to £146,373 for the county of West Yorkshire and a national average of £211,232.
