House Prices Rise in Bradford, West Yorkshire

Property prices in Bradford, West Yorkshire, rose by 9.6 per cent between January 2006 and January 2007.

According to the latest Land Registry figures, the average price of a property in Bradford stood at £117,555 last January.

The average price of a detached home was £209,431 in January 2007, compared to £223,705 in the previous January, a difference of 6.4 per cent.

Semi-detached homes cost an average of £123,930 last January, compared to £113,539 the year before while the average price of a terraced home stood at £96,857 in January 2007, compared to £85,555 in January 2006.

The cheapest property purchased in Bradford between January 2006 and January 2007 sold for £10,000 while the most expensive cost £780,000.

In total, during the same period, £969m was spent on property in the area.

The average price of a house in Bradford in January last year compares to £146,373 for the county of West Yorkshire and a national average of £211,232.
