House Prices Rise in Corby, Northamptonshire

Property prices in Corby, Northamptonshire, rose by 16.4 per cent between January 2006 and January 2007.

According to the latest Land Registry figures, the average price of a property in Corby stood at £128,561 last January.

The average price of a detached home was £247,397 in January 2007, compared to £182,940 in the previous January, a difference of 35.2 per cent.

Semi-detached homes cost an average of £123,444 last January, compared to £114,656 the year before while the average price of a terraced home stood at £101,546 in January 2007, compared to £89,089 in January 2006.

The cheapest property purchased in Corby between January 2006 and January 2007 sold for £19,600 while the most expensive cost £690,000.

In total, during the same period, £197m was spent on property in the area.
