House Prices Rise in Skipton, North Yorkshire

Property prices in Skipton, North Yorkshire, rose by 18.7 per cent between January 2006 and January 2007.

According to the latest Land Registry figures, the average price of a property in Skipton stood at £224,812 last January.

The average price of a detached home was £387,707 in January 2007, compared to £273,900 in the previous January, a difference of 41.6 per cent.

Semi-detached homes cost an average of £232,250 last January, compared to £211,943 the year before while the average price of a terraced home stood at £151,714 in January 2007, compared to £163,536 in January 2006.

The cheapest property purchased in Skipton between January 2006 and January 2007 sold for £51,000 while the most expensive cost £1m.

In total, during the same period, £141m was spent on property in the area.
