House Prices Rise in Cromer, Norfolk

Property prices in Cromer, Norfolk, rose by 10.4 per cent between January 2006 and January 2007.

According to the latest Land Registry figures, the average price of a property in Cromer stood at £171,534 last January.

The average price of a detached home was £245,850 in January 2007, compared to £196,571 in the previous January, a difference of 25.1 per cent.

Semi-detached homes cost an average of £173,300 last January, compared to £134,927 the year before while the average price of a terraced home stood at £164,600 in January 2007, compared to £127,237 in January 2006.

The cheapest property purchased in Cromer between January 2006 and January 2007 sold for £43,000 while the most expensive cost £672,500.

In total, during the same period, £55m was spent on property in the area.

The average price of a house in Cromer in January last year compares to £180,764 for the county of Norfolk and a national average of £211,232.
