House Prices Rise in Westgate-on-Sea, Kent

Property prices in Westgate-on-Sea, Kent, rose by 20 per cent between January 2006 and January 2007.

According to the latest Land Registry figures, the average price of a property in Westgate-on-Sea stood at £174,472 last January.

The average price of a detached home was £315,000 in January 2007, compared to £188,950 in the previous January, a difference of 66.7 per cent.

Semi-detached homes cost an average of £135,500 last January, compared to £192,475 the year before while the average price of a terraced home stood at £174,500 in January 2007, compared to £159,783 in January 2006.

The cheapest property purchased in Westgate-on-Sea between January 2006 and January 2007 sold for £30,000 while the most expensive cost £535,000.

In total, during the same period, £40m was spent on property in the area.
