House Prices Fall in West Malling, Kent

Property prices in West Malling, Kent, fell by 4.7 per cent between January 2006 and January 2007.

According to the latest Land Registry figures, the average price of a property in West Malling stood at £268,395 last January.

The average price of a detached home was £348,790 in January 2007, compared to £358,322 in the previous January, a difference of 2.7 per cent.

Semi-detached homes cost an average of £248,733 last January, compared to £222,880 the year before while the average price of a terraced home stood at £190,416 in January 2007, compared to £220,000 in January 2006.

The cheapest property purchased in West Malling between January 2006 and January 2007 sold for £38,750 while the most expensive cost £900,000.

In total, during the same period, £163m was spent on property in the area.
