House Prices Fall in Tenterden, Kent

Property prices in Tenterden, Kent, fell by 3.1 per cent between January 2006 and January 2007.

According to the latest Land Registry figures, the average price of a property in Tenterden stood at £259,964 last January.

The average price of a detached home was £320,250 in January 2007, compared to £335,499 in the previous January, a difference of 4.6 per cent.

Semi-detached homes cost an average of £212,997 last January, compared to £186,250 the year before while the average price of a terraced home stood at £218,362 in January 2007, compared to £209,997 in January 2006.

The cheapest property purchased in Tenterden between January 2006 and January 2007 sold for £50,000 while the most expensive cost £825,000.

In total, during the same period, £84m was spent on property in the area.
