House Prices Rise in Ramsgate, Kent

Property prices in Ramsgate, Kent, rose by 11.2 per cent between January 2006 and January 2007.

According to the latest Land Registry figures, the average price of a property in Ramsgate stood at £174,235 last January.

The average price of a detached home was £263,777 in January 2007, compared to £188,499 in the previous January, a difference of 39.9 per cent.

Semi-detached homes cost an average of £168,704 last January, compared to £163,137 the year before while the average price of a terraced home stood at £169,081 in January 2007, compared to £147,042 in January 2006.

The cheapest property purchased in Ramsgate between January 2006 and January 2007 sold for £30,000 while the most expensive cost £710,000.

In total, during the same period, £223m was spent on property in the area.

The average price of a house in Ramsgate in January last year compares to £221,946 for the county of Kent and a national average of £211,232.
