House Prices Rise in Gillingham, Kent

Property prices in Gillingham, Kent, rose by 8.5 per cent between January 2006 and January 2007.

According to the latest Land Registry figures, the average price of a property in Gillingham stood at £171,115 last January.

The average price of a detached home was £332,071 in January 2007, compared to £286,025 in the previous January, a difference of 16.1 per cent.

Semi-detached homes cost an average of £185,906 last January, compared to £181,113 the year before while the average price of a terraced home stood at £142,652 in January 2007, compared to £131,142 in January 2006.

The cheapest property purchased in Gillingham between January 2006 and January 2007 sold for £30,000 while the most expensive cost £690,000.
