Property prices in Folkestone, Kent, rose by 0.8 per cent between January 2006 and January 2007.

According to the latest Land Registry figures, the average price of a property in Folkestone stood at £163,280 last January.

The average price of a detached home was £244,466 in January 2007, compared to £271,866 in the previous January, a difference of 10.1 per cent.

Semi-detached homes cost an average of £187,920 last January, compared to £145,113 the year before while the average price of a terraced home stood at £147,274 in January 2007, compared to £143,057 in January 2006.
