House Prices Fall in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire

Property prices in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, fell by 1 per cent between January 2006 and January 2007.

According to the latest Land Registry figures, the average price of a property in Hemel Hempstead stood at £214,983 last January.

The average price of a detached home was £378,425 in January 2007, compared to £446,571 in the previous January, a difference of 15.3 per cent.

Semi-detached homes cost an average of £247,809 last January, compared to £231,400 the year before while the average price of a terraced home stood at £213,627 in January 2007, compared to £183,700 in January 2006.

The cheapest property purchased in Hemel Hempstead between January 2006 and January 2007 sold for £49,300 while the most expensive cost £2m.

In total, during the same period, £453m was spent on property in the area.
