House Prices Rise in Hornchurch, Greater London

Property prices in Hornchurch, Greater London, rose by 13 per cent between January 2006 and January 2007.

According to the latest Land Registry figures, the average price of a property in Hornchurch stood at £278,020 last January.

The average price of a detached home was £510,229 in January 2007, compared to £441,045 in the previous January, a difference of 15.7 per cent.

Semi-detached homes cost an average of £274,686 last January, compared to £229,624 the year before while the average price of a terraced home stood at £229,235 in January 2007, compared to £212,434 in January 2006.

The cheapest property purchased in Hornchurch between January 2006 and January 2007 sold for £70,000 while the most expensive cost £1m.
