House Prices Rise in Rayleigh, Essex

Property prices in Rayleigh, Essex, rose by 14.5 per cent between January 2006 and January 2007.

According to the latest Land Registry figures, the average price of a property in Rayleigh stood at £246,859 last January.

The average price of a detached home was £395,576 in January 2007, compared to £270,031 in the previous January, a difference of 46.5 per cent.

Semi-detached homes cost an average of £216,390 last January, compared to £186,544 the year before while the average price of a terraced home stood at £192,998 in January 2007, compared to £173,071 in January 2006.

The cheapest property purchased in Rayleigh between January 2006 and January 2007 sold for £87,500 while the most expensive cost £1m.

In total, during the same period, £177m was spent on property in the area.
