House Prices Fall in Ripley, Derbyshire

Property prices in Ripley, Derbyshire, fell by 14.4 per cent between January 2006 and January 2007.

According to the latest Land Registry figures, the average price of a property in Ripley stood at £121,199 last January.

The average price of a detached home was £162,250 in January 2007, compared to £228,768 in the previous January, a difference of 29.1 per cent.

Semi-detached homes cost an average of £122,395 last January, compared to £113,562 the year before while the average price of a terraced home stood at £104,536 in January 2007, compared to £83,255 in January 2006.

The cheapest property purchased in Ripley between January 2006 and January 2007 sold for £22,500 while the most expensive cost £540,000.

In total, during the same period, £63m was spent on property in the area.
