House prices across England and Wales remained largely unchanged between January and February this year, latest Land Registry figures show. The average price of a home now stands at £185,616.
However the figures show that house price are up by just over five per cent compared to February 2007.
London enjoyed a large annual rise of 10 per cent compared to last February while the East Midlands and Wales experienced just a 2.7 per cent annual rise.
The average price of a detached home in England and Wales now stands at £278,222, while semi-detached homes cost an average of £174,406 and terraced homes £145,713.
